How to Display Stuff on Your TV from Your Phone

Love the big screen? Of course, it’s always fun to watch stuff on the big screen. The good news is you can get your TV to display stuff from your phone so you can play games, stream movies, and view photos, among other stuff on your big TV screen.

But how do you connect your phone to display on your TV screen? There are different ways you can achieve this purpose. Here are a few of them.

5 Ways to Display Stuff on Your TV from Your Phone

Wireless Casting via Google Chrome cast Ultra

Google Chrome casting is one of the most popular methods for showing your phone’s display on TV. It can connect directly to your TV’s HDMI or USB port and connect to Wi-Fi for seamless streaming sessions on your TV.

Google Chrome cast Ultra is compatible with Android and iOS devices. Once connected, you can use your device to control the contents showing on your TV screen.

Connect to Your TV’s HDMI Port

Another option is to plug your phone into your TV’s HDMI port using a USB cable. With this, you don’t need a Wi-Fi connection. Once your device is connected to your TV, you will be able to project your phone’s display on your TV.

Connect to Your TV via AirPlay

This method is for iOS devices. If you own an iOS device, you can use AirPlay to watch stuff on your TV from your phone. IOS smartphones and tablets can connect to an Apple TV via a Wi-Fi connection. You can access the AirPlay icon from some apps on your iOS device.

Once a connection is established, you can control what appears on your TV screen using your iOS device as a controller.

Connect to Your TV via Smart View

Those that own a Samsung Smart TV can connect their phones to their smart TV using the Samsung Smart View app. This app is available on the Google Play Store, Samsung Galaxy Apps, and the Apple Store.

The Smart View app works the same as AirPlay. It connects your phone to your smart TV using your existing Wi-Fi connection and uses your phone as a remote control to manage displays on your smart TV screen.

Connect to Your TV Using DNLA

Most TVs and mobile devices have built-in DNLA (Digital Network Living Alliance). This enables users to display their phone screen on their TV screen provided that they have the right app like Plex or Bubble UPnP installed on their phone. With DNLA, there is no need for any additional hardware.
